After endless rain, grey skies and gale force winds, the sun finally broke through and we had a wonderful sunny day.

Walking along the deserted Canal beach in the Western Algarve, I stumbled across a pebble with some sort of an inscription.
Perhaps it was a geocache and behind the stone is hidden treasure.

Band at Aljezur Sardine Festival
This photograph was taken at the Aljezur Sardine Festival. The lighting really added to the ambience and when we saw the size of the stage and all the visual effects we were convinced the Rolling Stones were going to perform. Not speaking Portuguese or recognising any of their famous pop groups we never did discover who was performing.
